About Us

Functional Living was founded by Stanton Swanson, OTD, MS, OTR/L with the intention of bringing excitement and enjoyment into older adult health & wellness.

Stanton (Stan) holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from University of Central Arkansas and an Occupational Therapy Doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Stan became an occupational therapist after thinking of his own experience of going through occupational, physical, and speech therapy growing up with cerebral palsy.
