Stanton Swanson, OTR

Stanton Swanson, OTR, is a registered Occupational Therapist who has an M.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas, a nationally ranked program.  Stan has worked with clients of all ages from birth to age 100, but he is open to working with older clients as well. 

Stan’s undergraduate work was in Philosophy, so he enjoys “outside of the box” thinking when formulating solutions for his clients.  Stan was also part of the L.E.N.D. program in during his time in Little Rock.  This program was designed to evaluate clients from an integrated perspective through the lens of each specialty (occupational therapy, nursing, medicine, and psychology), thus encouraging innovation in the application of medical and therapeutic principals.  This experience has helped Stan become a practitioner who is able to take a multi-faceted approach when helping clients.

Stan’s experience also includes experience with those with low vision, autism, and many other unique situations.

Susan Swanson

Susan holds an M.S. and completed her Ph.D. coursework in Decision Sciences at Georgia State University and has an extensive background in data analysis and research.

Robert Swanson

Rob holds a B.S. in Information Technology, but also has a background in biology.

What Sets Us Apart?

Stan is unique as a practitioner because he has lived the life of someone receiving occupational therapy.  Stan was born with Cerebral Palsy.  He has seen how the culmination of innovative thinking and wonderful practitioners can make a huge difference in someone’s life.  He is excited to have the opportunity to help others.

From being the parents of a child with Cerebral Palsy to caring for an aging parent, Rob & Susan lend a uniqueness to Functional Living.  Living through these transitions in life have given them the skills for identifying with both clients and caregivers.  Their unique backgrounds in data analysis and information technology give them a perspective for finding solutions that is one-of-a-kind.
